GreenPeel is the first direct-sealed 3-piece can concept, enabling effortless product release, unlimited 360° decoration, and enhanced food presentation. It offers up to a 7% lower carbon footprint and is 100% recyclable.

Trouble-free direct sealing

Unlike conventional 3-piece cans, GreenPeel cans have no weld seam! This unique design enables trouble-free direct sealing and offers the same handling and performance as peel-off ends (POE).

Additionally, GreenPeel allows filling from the bottom, which creates an exceptional food presentation when the can is opened.

Smooth release of foods

Emptying a 3-piece can has never been easier. Simply open the peel-off lid with minimal force, turn the can over, and the contents glide out more smoothly and completely than from any other 3-piece can. Why is that? GreenPeel cans have no internal edges that could block the products from coming out.

Sustainability: less material, higher productivity

Production of GreenPeel cans requires up to 10% less material, lowering the carbon footprint by up 7%. Furthermore, product waste during the filling process is minimized since the direct-sealed lid undergoes leak testing before filling. All materials are 100% recyclable.

Innovative manufacturing process

A deep-drawn can is separated, and the bottom is formed into an end. The key step is the direct sealing of the weld-seam-free canbody, enabling high reliable direct-sealing and airtightness testing before filling.

 

Bottom-side filling creates an appealing product surface when opening the can, while the smooth, edge-free interior ensures complete product release.

 

The can is also suitable for aggressive retort products, as there are no exposed cut edges inside the can that could oxidize. The canbody and end are made from the same material in one integrated process, simplifying handling and improving efficiency.
