Since 1961 IMA has been confirming its ability to successfully grasp all future challenges by manufacturing high quality automatic machines for the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, tea, coffee and food industries.

Its position of leadership is the result of 50 years in the business: experience and reliability, significant investments in R&D, regular and constructive dialogue with the end-users in its sectors and the Group's ability to expand internationally, conquering new markets. These values enable us to act not just as suppliers but also as partners, proposing innovative solutions as well as high quality products.

The Group has about 3,400 employees, about 1,400 of whom overseas, and a consolidated turnover of 505.8 million Euros for the fiscal year 2009, about 93% earned on international markets. Most of the demand comes from multinational companies operating out of the more industrialised countries.

The IMA Group has an extensive sales network comprising 16 branches (Spain, Portugal, France, the UK, Germany, Austria, Poland, Russia, the USA, China, Singapore, Thailand and Brazil), representative offices in central-eastern Europe and more than 50 agencies covering a total of more than 70 countries. IMA is committed in one production joint-venture in China. The Group has 22 production plants in Italy, Germany, the UK, the USA, India and China.

The companies Corazza, RC, Stephan and Gima, which operate prevalently in the food packaging sector, are now part of the IMA Group.

The Group's organisational structure features two leading business areas in the main sectors: IMA Industries (machines for the packaging of tea, coffee and foods) and IMA Pharma (machines for the processing and packaging of pharmaceutical products).

IMA S.p.A. has been listed on the Milan Stock Exchange since 1995 and in 2001 joined the STAR segment.
