The compact Abrigo robot cells are designed to automate handling operations of product units for packing or feeding of packaging machines. The advantages are many, including: low impact on the plant layout, production capacity greater than or equal to that possible manually, with the same space requirements, acceptable payback time.

The unities of product entering in the system, are opportunely outdistanced through multiple feeding conveyors; after the unities of product are collected by a sorter with more series of pockets, each handled by Brushless motors, that prepares the pick of the robot. For the handling Abrigo utilizes industrial robot, endowed with customized picking tools for the single applications, that realize, if required, a variation of distance between product taken, or a variation of orientation, between the configuration of taking and of deposit.

These robot cells are dedicated to box square bottom bags. A single cell can receive two flows of bags, and it operates the complete cycle: carton erecting, filling, sealing.The bags, on both flows, are rotated and lain down on their side; then they are picked with a vacuum cups tool, handled by the robot and placed into the carton in alternately oriented layers.
