German Packaging Award

The nominations for the German Packaging Award 2011 range from consumer-friendly sealing and dispensing systems to talking packaging, intelligent barrier systems and high-tech transport cartons up to innovative components in machine technology. After an independent testing process and intensive debate, a jury consisting of recognized experts nominated 54 packaging concepts consisting of 22 sales packaging elements, 6 transport packaging elements, 2 display and promotion packaging elements, 12 prototypes, 4 nominations for design, labelling and finishing, 4 young talent prizes for students and school children as well as 4 nominations in the category machine technology.

The winners of the 34th German Packaging Award will be announced on the 9th November, 2011.

With the renowned packaging competition the German Packaging Institute dvi is searching for futuristic packaging ideas.

The German Packaging Award is aimed at manufacturers, developers, designers and users of innovative packaging solutions and promotes the creative young talent in the industry.

The German Packaging Award is announced internationally and thus open for participants from all over the world as „German Open“. The winners are qualified for the worldwide WorldStar-Competition of the World Packaging Organization.
