interpack goes Social Media: Its own groups on Xing, LinkedIn and Facebook
interpack to grow in xing, linkedin, and facebook
Today, millions of members worldwide use the Internet platforms Xing, LinkedIn and Facebook for their businesses, jobs and careers. interpack is also offering its own specialised group in each one of these networks – with the goal of giving exhibitors, visitors and interested persons an opportunity to conduct discussions with and provide information to one another and to comprehensively prepare for upcoming interpack trade fairs in Dusseldorf.

In addition to the successful online web site of interpack processes and packaging which it has had for years, the world’s leading trade fair for the packaging industry is now also using the most important international social media platforms Xing, LinkedIn and Facebook for communication and the professional exchange of ideas: This year, more than 2000 visitors and exhibitors were successfully invited to prepare for their trade fair visit to Dusseldorf in the German and English-language groups in a targeted and beneficial manner.
Informative supplement to the real trade fair
Furthermore, between the events, the members have the opportunity to communicate, to develop the relationships with the contacts they made, to find new contacts as well as to quickly and directly exchange information with one another. As a valuable supplement to the real industry trade fair which takes place every three years in Dusseldorf, the group members will find updated news from the packaging world here and the readers can comment on such news. Moreover, the “Topic of the Month” will provide information about trends and innovations pertaining to the currently three most important pillars of the industry: Sustainability, convenience und safety.
Information and discussions online
Regular newsletters and special campaigns provide additional benefit to members. In the forum section, they can discuss professional issues with one another, comment on other persons’ entries, announce and/or search for or find their own specific professional events or job openings. And whoever has concerns about the current data protection discussions: Nobody must make entries, but everyone can profit from the abundant information and countless advantages of membership in the group.
Face-to-face on-site
During the real interpack last May in Dusseldorf, it had its own central meeting place directly on the trade fair grounds. Many group members took the opportunity for personal contact, face-to-face meetings and a direct exchange of ideas with other members. For even in the age of Xing, LinkedIn, Twitter and Co. - the quite traditional purpose of a trade fair still applied: bringing together people from throughout the world to a central meeting place. And in the time before and after an interpack trade fair, thanks to the social networks, no one has to leave anymore without updated news and a professional exchange of ideas.
