New collapsible PET bottle

The accordion-like shape of the PET EvoBasic bottle design allows easy compression of an empty bottle to a fifth of its original size using minimum effort as well as saving space during storage and transportation. The new bottle is already being sold in the Czech Republic, and is now available abroad.

The EvoBasic bottle is designed for single use. When the label and cap are removed, the empty bottle can be compressed by slight hand pressure on the upper part of the bottle. The bottle stays compressed with no need for re-closure. Used and compressed EvoBasic bottles without caps or labels become ideal valuable raw materials, ready for salvage and subsequent ecological and economically profitable processing.

The EvoBasic bottle can not be used for beverages and liquids kept under pressure such as carbonated drinks, however the company is in the process of developing a bottle design suitable for such application.

For the best ecological results, usage of EvoBasic bottles is recommended with non-adhesive labels and single component caps with tamper proof rings which remain connected to the cap after unscrewing it from the bottle as this allows easy separation of the raw materials - bottle, label and cap!

The key features of the bottle are:
