Wolke m600 basic with new software

Wolke Inks & Printers launches new software for its m600 basic printing system. Version 2.5 boasts many convincingly practical features, including remote controllability, spit function, support of static Datamatrix code and printing of UPC-A codes. There is no limitation to the barcode fields and the text, time, bitmap and counter fields. Additional interface commands enhance the m600 basic's efficiency. The display zoom feature and the screen saver enhance operating comfort. On the occasion of market launch, Wolke is at present offering a price discount of up to 30 percent for the new m600 basic starter pack.

The Wolke print system m600 basic is used to code products and master cartons. Data such as best-before date, barcodes, 2D Datamatrix codes, logos and batch numbers ensure traceability and security against forgery within the food, beverages and pharmaceutical industries as well as in other lines of industry.

The new software includes remote controllability via TCP/IP which aids control commands such as Start/Stop and label handling conveniently from the PC.

In routine production, the "spitting" function is very important. Depending on the ambient conditions such as air temperature and air humidity, the ink may dry in the nozzles of the cartridge in case of extended printing pauses. The new software improves the sticking characteristics after the printer has not been used for a while by spitting out a few drops of ink before the actual printing process begins. Spitting can be performed manually or automatically and is visualized on the m600 basic' display. Automatic spitting is set by means of the spit parameters "Waiting time“ and "Spitting duration“. No external sensor is required to trigger the spitting function. In case of manual spitting, a hotkey triggers a one-off spitting process.

Additional interface commands help the new software to enhance the m600 basic's versatility even further: individual label fields can be changed by addressing the field name. Text field contents and all available barcode field contents (not embedded) can be edited. The changed field contents are printed immediately after sending, without Stop/Start command. Labels with changed field contents can be saved directly on the flash disc.

Since mid-July, all m600 basic printing systems have been equipped with the new software version as standard. At present, Wolke is offering a price discount of up to 30 percent on the occasion of market launch. The offer includes an m600 starter pack, a print head support, photoelectric cell and cable.
